As a part of my Phd project I interviewed the members of our art collaborative Trailing Spouses. In the interview I ask whether the interviewee has any object or a talisman that she brings with her for support and comfort when she is away from home. This got me thinking about my own significant object, or in fact whether I have one at all. Since that I have been collecting images, text messages, blog comments, interview clips, drawings and other material from people in relation to their particular Significant Object. I have collected a sizable archive of material to date and this on going project will hopefully be continuing for the foreseeable future and be exhibited along the way at relevant points in various locations.
