3D Work
My 3D work most often forms larger installations. Instead of concentrating on small individual pieces it seems to be more natural for me to tell stories in arrangements of multiples. I have done this with my small printed houses, which I often group as three, as well as my current work using eggshells to form larger pieces. Each small sculpture can be viewed as an individual piece, however I personally read them more like a 3D book that has no start and no end.
I'm currently dying eggshells with colors that I make from plants. I don't use a brush for painting but instead dip the shell into color. I try to control the image very little but let the egg and the natural coloring do the work.
The 2019 ink and gold leaf drawings are based on the boggy forestry nature in my summerhouse in Eastern Finland.
