This series of small size acrylic paintings are my way of describing pining, longing and yearning. These are memories of our garden in Slovakia where I stay all summers and rest of the year keep missing.

The light in the mountains is very strong and makes fantastic contrasts. The sky is often mediterranean blue and the flowers extremely strong colors against the almost black foliage. The amount of textures is overwhelming but stimulating. I feel that I could keep painting the same memory for ever and ever.
